FOLLOWING on from yesterday: as I mentioned in my previous post on writing about writing, I read through a piece of writing without interruption, picking up important details Text, Style, Character, Plot and Dialogue.

WRITING notes as I read is important for me, because as I become lost in the prose, and new elements begin to burst forth, it’s easy to forget what you’ve seen back in chapter one, when you reach chapter thirty.

SO, by the time I whisper THE END, I have a whole bunch of notes to go at.

PUTTING the notes in order is my next job. I usually have little bubbles of suggestions to expand on what I’ve already written…
